4 Best family hotels in Koh Lanta

1.Anda Lanta Resort – Koh Lanta ⭐⭐

Probably the most exceptional beach environment on the island, therefore remote. One of the most southern resorts on Koh Lanta faces a pristine, private cove with snow-white sand, calm turquoise waters and angled palm trees. Most of the modern style villas are separate and scattered along the garden path, while those on the hilltop offer more seclusion and serenity, and possibly better views. Some villas are almost on the sand, barely 20 meters from the sea, and others overlook the lush gardens. all are bright, elegant and airy, with relaxing tiles, retro-style furniture and space for an extra single bed. the family villa, with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a separate living room, can accommodate up to three children, but overlooks the garden. The hotel can arrange excursions and snorkelling trips, and the swimming pool by the beach is bright blue and shady. Near the national park (which is only accessible by car), the complex is isolated, with no shops or cafes within walking distance.

2.Crown Lanta Resort & Spa – Koh Lanta ⭐⭐⭐

Massive, secluded, some children’s facilities, but not beachfront.dominating the northwest corner, Crown Lanta is located between vast, rolling gardens of ponds, streams, cliffs and lawns, but does not face a beach. However, some private sand can be accessed within walking distance of one of the pools, while Klong Dao, with all its beachside cafes, is a short walk away. The most luxurious are the villas with a separate living room, direct sea views and a private pool with borders that seem to melt into the horizon. Families can stay in villas with a kitchen, private pool and two bedrooms, bathrooms and living rooms. These are located high up in the hills and offer sunrise and sunset views. The hotel offers free use of kayaks, bicycles and snorkeling equipment, and there is a children’s pool and small playground. It feels a bit isolated, although it is only a 20 minute walk from Saladan, the home of the port, as well as numerous shops and seafood restaurants.

3.Royal Lanta Resort & Spa – Koh Lanta ⭐⭐⭐

Charming Thai design, ideal beach, and welcome families.being one of the few in Lanta that seems to be in Thailand, this resort is immensely attractive with curved ornamental roofs and tropical gardens of waterfalls, ponds and palms. The villas can be accessed along an elevated promenade, but are tightly grouped so that the balcony and windows look directly out onto other villas, which certainly affects privacy and peace. But inside they are charming: bright and spacious, with plenty of room for luggage and charming old-fashioned wooden furniture, though with a small balcony.the family villas are particularly nice, with an alcove with a crib, two wooden bunk beds and a king-size bed, all without feeling cramped.the newer rooms in modern blocks lack charm, but are quieter, and some have connected doors.nothing is set up for children, but there are two swimming pools and you face Khlong Dao, an attractive beach. You can also walk to the main road with many tourist facilities and to Saladan, which houses the harbor and many shops and seafood restaurants.

4.Twin Bay Resort – Koh Lanta ⭐⭐⭐

Unique beach environment, familiar and very convenient. In a quiet area, away from traffic and crowds and perfect for strolling, this appropriately named resort is located on an isthmus, facing a picturesque cove inside Khlong Doa beach and another sandy-free bay. Spread out among the shady gardens are various types of bungalows, all with, unusually, a fridge and large enough for an extra single bed. These range from cozy, comfortable, simple standard bungalows in safari-style cabins overlooking the gardens, to luxury versions with a perfect beachfront.the family townhouses have two bunk beds and can even accommodate a third child in an extra bed without feeling crowded. These bungalows have beautiful antique furniture and some Thai decorations, but no sea views. 15 minutes walk from Saladan, with the port and many shops and seafood restaurants, there is a children’s playground by the beach pool.
