10 Best hotels in Koh Phangan

1.Phangan Bayshore Resort – Koh Phangan ⭐⭐⭐

First class swimming pool, first class beach, convenient and affordable With a great location in the centre and next to the beach, this is one of the first and still one of the best. The rooms are located in motel style blocks and (like most resorts on the island) are close together, so it would be noisy during the full moon party. The rooms overlook the pool, which is always bustling, or another block with balconies just 10 meters away. The suites also offer a Jacuzzi, and the pool extends from the lobby to the beach, which is not, however, “private”, and there is a playground and swing in the palm gardens.

2.The Cabin Beach Resort – Koh Phangan ⭐⭐⭐

Newly built, contemporary design, secluded but not isolated.renovated in 2017, a range of ultra-modern accommodation lines up along the beach and on a rocky hill in a secluded cove. However, the overall design of the rooms and lobby/cafeteria, square and grey, with extended flat roofs, may not be attractive to some. The Deluxe bungalows are very elegant, with careful decoration and Thai arts. The balcony with an egg chair and a wooden deck can be in the back of another bungalow, while those along the beach are wide and spacious, with modern furniture, a private pool and many windows.Others that are built further up the hill for enhanced views involve some steep steps.facing a large bay of dusty sand and walkways, the resort is located at the quiet southern end of Seekantang (Leela) beach, a 10 minute walk from the most famous beaches of Sunset and Sunrise.

3.The Coast Resort – Koh Phangan ⭐⭐⭐

Quiet, distant, super chic and just for adultsWith patches of greenery and a lovely beachside setting, the overall design is pleasing; less so the industrial style décor. The villas have 2 bedrooms and an extra-long balcony, while some overlook the attractive seaside pool and sea.the deluxe rooms are truly minimalist, for example, no desk and only 1 bedside table, and the frosted sliding doors ensure privacy but affect the views.at the north end of Sunset Beach, the sands in front are much cleaner and more shady than the areas to the south where full moon parties break out. While a handful of simple cafes are dotted along the nearby road, the main town of Haad Rhine is about a 10 minute walk or bus ride from the hotel.

4. Cocohut Beach Resort – Koh Phangan ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

Large grounds, glorious beach, excellent facilities and ideal for families.Stretching along the coast and up a hill on both sides of the access road, this resort is located in front of Seekantang (Leela) beach, which is about a 10 minute walk from Haad Rin village and a little further from the famous Sunset and Sunrise beaches.A variety of villas and bungalows are offered, including the Cliff circular bungalows, which are located on a steep hill for maximum views (mostly blocked by trees), and built remarkably around immovable granite rocks. However, the modern design is instantly pleasing, with a spacious living room and a wood-panelled bedroom with a high ceiling.Neptune’s Villa – Koh Phangan ⭐ ⭐

Downtown, next to the beach, unpretentious and unhurried. It offers 13 room types, starting with simple but comfortable log cabins overlooking the garden path leading to the beach. More modern and spacious, but less full of character, are the motel-style rooms on a block in front of the crystal-clear pool.So bright and spacious, they offer unparalleled ocean views that western resorts would charge quadruples for. Although along the famous Sunset Beach, the center of the full moon parties, the beach is surprisingly unkempt and likely to disappear at high tide, but even better than the beaches in front of the neighboring resorts. It is also very useful for the Haad Rhine pier, with infrequent and competitively priced ferries to Koh Samui.

6.Rin Beach Resort – Koh Phangan ⭐⭐⭐

Excellent convenience, unique design and excellent for families. Located in the center of the Haad Rhine village, and next to the infrequent ferry terminal to Koh Samui, this resort also faces a scenic cove that is virtually private. All types of brightly coloured accommodation are provided, and most are significantly different from those offered elsewhere on the island.Worth a splurge (or at least a glance) are the four extraordinary boathouse rooms built over a lagoon and facing the sea. Shaped like giant tugboats and painted pink, purple or mustard, they are distributed on three levels, made of dark wood, and feature a spa bath and a headboard shaped like a boat wheel. The design ensures that it’s dark inside, but that adds to the charm. And with a larger-than-expected pool, it’s a good fit for families.

7.Sarikantang Resort & Spa – Koh Phangan ⭐⭐⭐

Nice beach, old and new, secluded but not isolated Near the action of the full moon party, but not in between, are functional motel-style room blocks, old cabins that cascade down a hill and inexpensive lodgings in rows. With a hammock swinging from the veranda, the deluxe rooms are pleasantly spacious, but a little dark inside, and the upper rooms leading to a second shared pool are new, elegant and spacious, and the romantic suites are almost a short walk from the sand (although it’s not clear why they need to be renovated). The main pool is located next to the narrow beach, which is likely to disappear partially at high tide, but is particularly clean and shady, and offers many activities such as cooking, yoga and archery, as well as facing the quiet and picturesque beach of Seekantang (Leela), only a five-minute walk from Haad Rin Village, and a little further away from the famous Sunset and Sunrise beaches.

8.Sunset Beach Club Hotel – Koh Phangan ⭐⭐⭐

Functional and beachside – let’s party! Perfect for party lovers, the rooms are compact, practical and comfortable, but in charming square blocks. The infinity edge pool next to the beach is long and narrow, and guests can also use the cozier pool, gardens and playground next door to Sunset Beach Villas. But beware: don’t book any rooms for three days before or after the full moon if sleep is important at night. Not as attractive as Sunrise Beach, this part of Sunset Beach is disappointing, dotted with unattractive mangroves and likely to disappear partially at high tide, but the views are still heavenly.
