Yellowstone National Park covers 9,000 square kilometers of natural landscapes and unusual places: giant waterfalls, geysers and other geothermal phenomena.If you want to see most of the highlights and enjoy the activities the park has to offer, it is highly recommended that you stay for at least three days.

Best places to stay in Yellowstone
Sixty percent of the world’s geysers are located in Yellowstone and five of them are regularly arranged next to the famous Old Faithful geyser.Old Faithful erupts approximately every 90 minutes and shoots a giant column of boiling water, averaging 44 metres high, into the air – watching this spectacle is why many tourists choose to stay nearby.
While waiting to see this spectacle there are plenty of places nearby where you can enjoy hearty meals.Near Old Faithful there are several lodging options, ranging from hostels and log cabins to the park’s most popular inn, which currently has more than 300 rooms.
Grant Village is named after the man who came up with the idea for the world’s first national park: Ulysses S. Grant.This is an area on the southwest side of Yellowstone Lake, which has a marina where you can enjoy various water activities such as boating, kayaking, etc.
There are several possibilities for accommodation, with very varied prices.
The hot springs are the main attraction of this part of the park, as well as the imaginary line of the 45th parallel.The resulting cloud of steam is an interesting phenomenon to witness, and you can also swim in the river during the day.
This is a great place to discover the diverse fauna of the area; you can see all kinds of animals, from sheep grazing, to all kinds of birds fishing for fish.If you wish you can stay in one of the several cabins sprinkled throughout the area or in a hotel near the hot springs.

At present Red Lodge is a good alternative to stay in the park. Cody is a town near the east entrance of the park, near Yellowstone Lake. In the center of town you will find a variety of restaurants where you can taste dishes from all over the world. Some of the restaurants are real specialists in the preparation of meat dishes. In town you can go to two icons of art and entertainment that are a must see: the legendary Chuckwagon Dinner and the show Cody Gunfighters.On the 4th of July all kinds of concerts are organized in the central park and many other events are held throughout the town.
